Unemployment Rate: 3-month average at 3.7%, slightly above Q4’s 3.5%, yet consistently below 4% since Q4 2021.
🏗️ Construction & Housing New Single-Family Permits: 143 in Q1 2025 — a +30% jump from Q4 2024 (110), but still 16.8% under the decade Q1 average of 172; total permit value ≈ $38.2M. Median Home Sales Price: $325,000 in Q4 2024 — +0.9% year-over-year (rising $3K), though down 1.5% since Q3; remains > 20% below Florida’s state median since Q3 2021.

| | 🥰✨ Tallahassee Celebrates Trifecta Win as All-America City: City Earns National Honor for Community Excellence. | Talgov This acknowledgement comes on the heels of the community being named a finalist for the 2025 All-America City Award, recognizing efforts that harness the power of local collaboration to drive meaningful change. Presented by the National Civic League, this prestigious award honors 10 U.S. communities each year for inclusive civic engagement, innovation, and collaboration. The winners were announced last week, June 29th, at the 2025 All-America City Conference in Denver. With its 3rd win, adding to honors in 1999 and 2015, Tallahassee joins a rare group of cities recognized three times. A diverse team of residents, students, and leaders shared the city’s story in Denver, showcasing the collaboration and shared vision behind its 2025 All-America City honor. Tallahassee’s 2025 application highlighted three key initiatives centered on equity, sustainability, and community-driven change: the Southside Action Plan for neighborhood investment and improvement, the Clean Energy Plan for a 100% clean energy future, and the City’s 100+ parks promoting access, livability, and environmental stewardship.
