|
| | 🤵🏽♂️✨ How FAMU’s public relations major and intern went from part of behind-the-scenes to SHEIN Campus Ambassador. | FAMU News “If you told me 3 years ago that I’d be traveling on behalf of a brand trip – for any company – I probably would’ve laughed. Especially for a well-known brand like SHEIN, a brand I actually shop with,” J'Corion Johnson, FAMU’s Campus Ambassador, says. He came to FAMU as an ambitious freshman, eager to seize every opportunity. Over time, his shift moved behind-the-scenes, helping fellow students step into leadership and build their platforms. What felt like stepping away from the spotlight became a new purpose: empowering HBCU students to connect and succeed on and off social media. This year, things shifted, bringing him back to the front line. He realized it wasn’t that he couldn’t handle the spotlight – it was that he’d been afraid of it. So, he stopped waiting to feel ready and started posting what he loved. That’s when brands began to notice – not because he chased after them, but because he showed up. Saying ‘yes’ led to a wave of new partnerships. Johnson was surprised to find himself getting the royal treatment at a SHEIN retreat for top student ambassadors. POV: Your brand trip includes a $40M megayacht party. The 3-day retreat included a VIP pop-up store party, a black-tie gala and awards night, an alligator airboat tour – and it all started with a free flight to Miami, just six weeks after getting the invite. 🛥️ | FAMU’s IG Post His advice for students who want to pursue the same thing: Post that content, stay consistent, and re-evaluate your circle.

| 🦔 Meet Chip, the armadillo, to talk stardom, and what’s next in his viral move. | Visit Tally One day, Chip was just splashin' around the Tallahassee Museum. The next thing you know, he’s a viral star with 20M views and fans nationwide. But Chip is still humble…mostly (though he does think he deserves the spotlight). ⭐️ | IG Post Chip opens up about some of his favorite Tally adventures, life at the Museum, and why he hopes more fans will come see him and support the place he calls home. “Oh, hey there, internet! Chip the Armadillo here with help from my trusty translator, since all you hear is ‘eep eep’ when I talk,” says Tallahassee Museum’s newest and iconic star. | Visit Tallahassee A little backstory: Chip was originally from Miami, rescued after a tough run-in left him with chemical burns. Thankfully, the kind folks at the museum gave him a second chance and a forever home. Want to meet Chip in person? Head to the Tallahassee Museum or visit their website to explore native wildlife, historic sites, and fun educational programs. Every visit supports their mission – and gives Chip and his pals some well-deserved love!
