The event will emphasize workforce development, entrepreneurship, and creating successful career pathways for students and their communities. Community colleges play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce of tomorrow. As industries evolve and new opportunities emerge, colleges need to stay ahead by integrating entrepreneurial thinking, innovative partnerships, and skills-based education into their programming. | 🌞 2025 Summer Youth Training Program. | Leon County Government Leon County Government continues to welcome applications for the Summer Youth Training Program. In collaboration with CareerSource Capital Region, this five-week initiative allows young people to acquire job experience by working with a Leon County department during the summer. The collaboration provides young people with enhanced professional development opportunities through the Learn, Earn, and Advance Program (LEAP), which is designed for young adults. CareerSource Capital Region will help youth learn vital skills like goal-setting, budgeting, time management, customer service, and much more. Youth can gain work experience in different County departments such as Community and Media Relations, Volunteer Services, Library Services, and others. Each position offers 20 hours of work per week at a rate of $13 per hour. The summer jobs and training will take place from Monday, June 23rd, to Friday, July 25th. Interested youth should apply now at LeonCountyFL.gov/SummerYouth.
