πŸ€ FSU's Makayla Timpson selected in WNBA Draft. | Seminoles

  • Makayla Timpson, a senior forward from Florida State, was chosen by the Indiana Fever in the second round of the 2025 WNBA Draft, which took place on April 14th at The Shed in New York City.

  • Timpson, who was the 17th player drafted from Florida State, was picked 19th overall. Hailing from Edison, Georgia, she is the first Seminole to be drafted since 2020 and the highest selection since Leticia Romero was chosen fourth in the second round back in 2017.

  • She received an All-America honorable mention from both the WBCA and the Associated Press, concluding her season with impressive averages of 17.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks per game.

  • Timpson departs from Florida State as the career record holder in rebounds with 1,094 and double-doubles with 47. She surpassed the records previously held by Natasha Howard, who also signed with the Fever during this free agency period. Timpson concluded her career with a total of 1,706 points, placing her fifth in the program's history.
