| | 🕹️ A pinball paradise lights up the back of Railroad Square. | Tal Dem Hidden in a calm part of Railroad Square, Flippin’ Great Pinball isn’t just any arcade. It’s a carefully built spot where pinball lovers keep the game alive and bring people together. Since 2016, Flippin’ Great has been a fun place in Tallahassee to play, hang out, and enjoy a bit of classic American fun. Born from the passion of longtime collectors and tinkerers Rob McDole, Adam Kessell, Ryan Stone, and Lawrence Brown, this spot isn’t just an arcade — it’s a love letter to Americana. What started as a repair shop called Arcade Age grew into a full experience when they saw how much joy playing brought people. “We’d see people light up during First Fridays,” says Rob, “so we knew we had to open our doors for real.” And open they did with a vengeance. Today, Flippin’ Great Pinball features over 70 vintage and modern arcade, pinball, and rhythm games — from classics like Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man to newer hits like Godzilla, Deadpool, and Foo Fighters pinball machines. They even have a cult following for their DDR, Chunithm, and Sound Voltex games. What makes Flippin’ Great Pinball special is their care behind the scenes. “We don’t just collect games, we fix and restore them,” says Rob. “We want them to play like new.” That’s why fans keep coming back — and why you won’t find broken machines here like at other arcades. 🩵
