| | 🍂 Who Says You Have to Head North to See Fall Colors? Pumpkin spice isn’t the only thing in season – fall foliage will make its grand entrance in Tally! | Visit Tallahassee As fall arrives, Tallahassee and nearby areas will transform into a haven for nature lovers. The rich colors of autumn usually appear from mid-October through late November. From scenic boardwalks to canopy bridges, there are plenty of places to enjoy the beauty of the season. Note: Dates may vary depending on the season.
Here are 5 must-see spots where autumn puts on its best show: Debbie Lightsey Nature Park: Nestled amidst wetlands and adorned with native trees and plants, it offers a serene retreat. Wander along the boardwalk and let the hues of autumn and the crackle of the leaves beneath your feet captivate your senses. Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park: Take a jungle boat tour through historic Wakulla Springs, once a backdrop for Hollywood classics like Creature from the Black Lagoon. Fully ADA-accessible, the park offers stunning seasonal views. Nearby, St. Marks Wildlife Refuge was named by Forbes as one of the best places to see iconic American wildlife. Lafayette Heritage Trail Park: The canopy bridge takes you among the treetops, immersing you in a sea of fiery reds and amber golds. Trail runners, water-sport aficionados, wildlife lovers, and mountain bikers can find something in common here. Lake Ella: Stroll around Lake Ella to enjoy fall colors reflecting on the water and browse nearby local shops. It was featured in The Saturday Evening Post as “Fantastic Fall Foliage NOT in New England.” Apalachicola National Forest: Discover the vast beauty of it, where longleaf pines, bald cypress, and oaks put on a brilliant autumn display. With its mix of hardwoods and conifers glowing in fall colors, it’s a peaceful escape for hikers and nature lovers alike.

| | 🤠 Another Original House Announced for Halloween Horror Nights 34 - Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters. | Orlando Sentinel The fourth haunted house for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) is a throwback to last year’s event at Universal Studios, the theme park recently announced. Visitors will experience Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters in a larger format in 2025, Universal Orlando says. “In this Old West town, all hell is breaking loose,” Universal said in their post. “Red-hot lava demons are trying to possess everyone, melting everything in their path.” Hatchet and Chains was one of the featured presentations within the 2024 house called Slaughter Sinema 2, which was a round-up maze of (fictional) B-movies. The Hatchet scenes included a saloon, demons, and the scent of roses. The original Slaughter Sinema concept debuted at HHN in 2018. ☠️ Halloween Horror Nights returns on select nights from tonight, Aug. 29, to Nov. 2 for an after-hours, ticketed scare fest. Single-night tickets and select add-ons are now available at halloweenhorrornights.com. | Tickets
