Carolina Cruz-Neira, UCF professor and VR pioneer, is celebrated for creating the CAVE virtual reality system and shaping an entire global industry. Phoebe Cade Miles, Co-Founder of the Cade Museum for Creativity + Invention, was honored for inspiring future inventors and building a world-class hub for innovation. Elaine Larsen, a two-time world champion jet dragster driver,Β was recognized for leading an internship program for Florida Tech students, as well as her STEM outreach programs, which have reached tens of thousands of students nationwide.
