| | 🎞️ FSU seeks subcontractors for a new film school project. | Tal Dem Florida State University (FSU) purchased the former Regal Governor’s Square movie theater in January 2025, following its closure on December 1, 2024. The university is moving forward with plans to transform the 43,242 sq. ft. facility, which includes 12 auditoriums, into a new home for its film school. Initial efforts will focus on restoring the building to operate as a fully functional theater. The site will eventually become the new home of Torchlight Studios, FSU’s Center for Cinematic Innovation, which is currently located in Midway, Gadsden County. 🏗️ FSU is working with Mad Dog Construction (Tallahassee-based) as the general contractor. They are now seeking subcontractors for: Selective Demolition Concrete Doors, Frames, Hardware, and Specialties Painting, Coatings, and Sealants
Pre-Qualifications: All subcontractors not previously pre-qualified with Mad Dog Construction must complete the pre-qualification process by 2 PM on Friday, Sept. 26th.
