| ❤️ Explore North Florida Worlds of Work (WOW) 2025. | WOW The North Florida Worlds of Work (WOW) is a dynamic, industry-focused career expo designed to guide high school students toward in-demand professions and training pathways. It was inspired by the proven success of similar events hosted across Alabama’s workforce system, AlabamaWorks. More than 3,000 ninth-grade students, along with their teachers and parents, will explore hands-on, industry-specific career worlds–from healthcare and construction to technology and hospitality. The event will also feature participation from over 125 business and industry employers, supported by 150 dedicated volunteers. 🤩 Event Details: WOW will take place October 23 and 24 from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Tallahassee State College (444 Appleyard Dr.) and Lively Technical College (500 Appleyard Dr.), with all 9th-grade students from Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, Taylor, and Liberty counties invited to attend. Community WOW: On October 23 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, the event will be open to the public, offering an opportunity for community members to explore the career worlds and connect directly with participating employers. WOW is designed to spark early career awareness by highlighting high-demand, high-wage job opportunities across North Florida. By engaging students early in high school, the event encourages purposeful planning of academic and career paths–helping them prepare for success in college, technical training, or the workforce.
